# Gemini

[Gemini](https://gemini.google.com/) is an AI assistant by Google. With this integration it can search, read, and organize your bookmarks via [MCP](/integrations/mcp).

Requires a personal Google Account with **Keep Activity** turned on. Work and school accounts are not supported.

## Connecting

Custom apps can only be added in the Gemini web app on a computer.

**Step 1**

Go to [Gemini connectors](https://gemini.google.com/customize/connectors)

**Step 2**

Click **+ Custom**

**Step 3**

Paste the URL:

```
https://api.raindrop.io/rest/v2/ai/mcp
```

**Step 4**

Click **Next**

**Step 5**

Authorize Raindrop.io in the browser

You only need to connect once. After that Raindrop.io is also available in the Gemini mobile app.

> Type `@` in the prompt and select **Raindrop.io** to make sure Gemini uses it for that message.

Gemini asks for your confirmation before making any changes to your library.
